Autism Resources is designed to provide information about education and communication for parents, carers and teachers of people who are non-verbal and autistic.
One of the primary goals is to help educators understand the importance of communication and the power of teaching written or printed word languages to people with autism so their world of understanding can grow which is often held back and restricted by the limitations of sign and symbol structured communication methods.
The main purpose of this site is to provide an ongoing long term resource to my daughters school that will help the staff to better understand how she learns and communicates information so that they in turn can educate her at levels she will both understand and respond appropriately – for this reason a large portion of this site will remain private but as time permits I will start to share more information publically.
